Your questions, answered
-
The cost per person is £185 per day. There are no other costs. All food is provided at no cost to you and parking is free. You may be able to purchase some merchandise but that is entirely at your own discretion.
-
Typically, people book themselves onto a course as individuals and spend the day getting to know others who, like them, want to give themselves the gift of a day outdoors being creative. While we can’t currently go above 16 people in a group, you are welcome to book a group of people onto a course, provided there is still space. We can also arrange one-off days for group bookings, provided we can secure a suitable space (we can talk directly to you about this, as we have several options).
-
It takes a lot to stop one of our sessions, but if things get biblical and the location of the session is made unavailable as a result, we will initially look to reschedule the session at the nearest possible opportunity. If you are unable to attend the proposed new date, we will offer you a place on another upcoming event. If you aren’t able to attend any of our upcoming events, we will be more than happy to issue a full refund.
-
Cancellations more than two months from the event are refunded in full, less a £40 administration charge. Between 2 and 1 month before the event date you will be refunded 50% of the event cost, less £40 administration costs. Any nearer the event and we can’t refund anything, as we wouldn’t have enough time to fill your spot. If this happens, we’ll do our best to help you find someone who might want to take your spot and pay you directly.

The Sound in the Woods experience has been developed by professional musicians and music therapists and is built upon a foundation of community music practice and neuroscience research. Our team has over a hundred years of combined experience as recording & touring artists and composers, as well as as professional music facilitators and researchers working with an incredibly wide range of people from all over the world. You couldn’t be in better hands. When combined with the carefully selected beautiful natural spaces in which our work takes place, we honestly believe that there is nothing like Sound in the Woods.
-
No musical experience is needed to fully engage in a Sound in the Woods experience. The processes we use are tried and tested with groups of people from all backgrounds, circumstances, and identities, and of all levels of musical confidence. This includes complete beginners! We’ve had people who haven’t picked up an instrument since school playing alongside professional musicians with absolutely no problems at all. Our testimonials have more on this.
